RED ZONE GALLERY
Red Zone Gallery is a collective street art project that transforms an abandoned, ruined space into a symbolic gallery addressing the Palestinian humanitarian crisis. Rejecting polarization, it promotes empathy and reflection through collaborative artistic interventions, culminating in a public event held among the ruins.
Tribute to the GLobal Sumud FLotilla
The Global Sumud Flotilla is a coordinated, non-violent fleet of mostly small boats sailing across the Mediterranean to challenge the illegal Israeli blockade of Gaza. It brought together a diverse international coalition of participants from previous land and sea solidarity efforts, each vessel representing a community and a refusal to remain silent in the face of genocide.
A tribute to the flotilla is expressed through three corten steel boats, each embodying a symbolic dimension:
Resistance, with wild herbs that symbolise strength and adaptability.
Hope, featuring aromatic and protective plants such as rosemary, lavender, aloe vera, and the sword of Saint George.
Abundance, showcasing plants that represent nourishment and movement, including fig, olive, banana, pothos, sage, and the San Pedro cactus.
The sculptural intervention was created by Fulvio Capurso (Fulviet), with plant design and selection by Adriano Silva (Xama Verde).
